So today was my Mom’s birthday. After all of the “no soda” rant, I did drink some Coca Cola today, which is not like my ultimate craving or anything. She wanted to go out to Red Lobster, which sucks because it’s my favorite “fast food” restaurant, if you can call it that. I love their pasta and I ended up getting the Shrimp Linguini stuff with the creamy sauce…I always forget what it’s called, but it’s SO good!

Yeah, I had a few bites of Ice Cream, too. There goes my 10% (see 90/10 rule in Precision Nutrition!) for the month lol

From here on out it’s serious Business. I won’t lie – I’ve been thinking about Beer quite a bit today. Hopefully I don’t screw that up.

Yesterday I ate great. I had Chicken Breast and a ton of Broccoli for Dinner, 2 Super Shakes, Tuna (can) and Spinach (yeah, just all plain and dry for both lol) for lunch and a handful of Pecans and Walnuts for a snack in mid-afternoon. I walked about 2 miles and rode the bike for about 25 minutes when I first woke up. I didn’t get a very good workout in (weights), but it’s the first week – so I won’t stress about it too much.

So today is day #1 of my re-entry into Precision Nutrition – the only Fat Loss program I have ever believed in, all thanks to actually having great results from it in the past, also thanks for the PN forums … Continue reading →

So today is day #1 of my re-entry into Precision Nutrition – the only Fat Loss program I have ever believed in, all thanks to actually having great results from it in the past, also thanks for the PN forums

Today I have already begun to get back into gear by hitting the stationary bike the minute I rolled out of bed. I’m thankful for the fact that I’m blessed to be able to do that, so should everyone else that’s capable of doing it. NO EXCUSES!

My first meal was a Super Shake as I was too busy to cook anything. I’m not a morning person, unfortunately, so I just whipped up a shake and got to work (I do work at home, sometimes). The shake wasn’t as great sounding as Ice Cream, but believe me when I say that it’s just as sweet, yet SO much more filling and FAR more healthy!

Tonight I’ll be hitting the weights (biceps and back…I think) as well as taking the dogs on a long walk in the park. I’m seriously psyched about getting things moving again!

I do intend to quit drinking alcohol for a few months. It’s going to be extremely hard as I was becoming quite the alcoholic (not throwing that word out loosely…). THAT will be my biggest challenge of all. Soda, I love it…but it’s not something I have to have. I’ve literally went a year without drinking any soda at all, yet most people who remember me from my younger days realize that I was once a serious Mt. Dew drinker. I’d drink a 2 liter a day! Now? I really can’t stand the stuff.

Anyways, hopefully this inspires someone else (even if just one person) to get back into shape. I’m really excited about getting back to around 200 Lbs again!

I’ve learned first hand that getting back on track is “nearly impossible.” It seems that no matter how much you really want to, if you’re stuck in a bad eating rut, it’s SO tough to get back to the good times…

After a battle with a personal issue, I gained a lot of weight…not only did I gain all the weight back that I had lost, I actually gained a lot more. I’m frustrated. I’ve been frustrated. I’ve let myself go so far that I have this “oh well” attitude. I am drinking more, which makes me even more depressed and causes me to eat like %*&$ the next day. It’s horrible.

But I’m making a pact with myself and I’m going to do everything in my power to finally let go and give up drinking for a while, which will encourage me to eat healthier (back on PN, finally!), work out more and finally get back on track.

I like getting mentally prepared. Talking myself into a huge move, not little moves – I’ve tried that. I can’t “quit drinking” and then all of the sudden things fall in place. I’m different than the average bear, for sure. I have to just drop everything and make a major change all at once. But to do that it takes encouragement from myself. I have to make a date to start and really get mentally ready.

So, on Monday, November 8th, I will finally begin my new journey. This journey means that I have to lose approximately 70 LBS of fat. Yes, 70. I’m embarrassed to admit that number, but, unfortunately, that’s my situation.

This weekend I will be reading through Precision Nutrition V3 and really starting to rock and roll.

Anyone else up for the challenge? This is the first time I’ve ever taken fat loss this serious, but it’s more than appearance, it’s about my health. I know my heart and the rest of my body has taken a nasty hit by this rapid weight gain, which means I need to make things right.

Enough talk, this weekend is the days of getting prepared… Monday, here I come!
